Safety of One

It seems here I stay.
Choking on my safety.
Its one day I pray,
Ill lose this naivety.

But emotions slain,
Just make it worse.
They appease pain,
Through actions perverse.

I shy away,
In my fetal cocoon,
Lamenting my cliche,
And nursing my wounds.
